Solid mango wood table designed by Pedro Petry

Pedro Petry is an artist and designer, under graduated in Administration, and is a specialist in wood turning. Owns his own factory located in Itu, State of Sao Paulo and the beauty of his objects and furniture represent an example of care with nature and its sources.

from sustainably developed forests Pedro Petry has developed research for the utilization of alternative species, in order to ease the pressure on those species traditionally used, some of them, in fact, on the brink of extinction. Objects and furniture are therefore made instead with residues, with the aim of making concepts and standards more adaptable, thereby establishing a new parameter for the use of natural resources.

Under the investigative eye of this eco-designer, pieces that are usually only seen fit to use as firewood become beautiful objects of art. The peculiarity of each piece inspires its function and design. his work goes beyond just creativity; he is driven by strong principles and a love for his country and its natural resources. he aims to decorate homes with a multiple of different textures, colours and aromas, leaving out the smells of ecological disequilibrium.

He graduated in Arts at Santa Marcelina University, a university known for its many famous artists and fashion designers. In 2001, Marton created a conceptual series using striped acrylic from an exclusive patterns technique which was trademarked and registered by him in 2000. ‘Entrelinhas’ success made Jose Marton on of the 6 brazilians designers chosen to take place of “Talents `a la Cart – September 2005″ event at Maison et Objet, in Paris.

Hybrids is a multi-functional collection made exclusively from the ‘Entrelinhas’ techniques and is manufactured in methacrylate ® in partnership with Brazilian design company, allê. “We looked for the best ways to apply the raw material in this collection”, says Marton. In addiction the waste of each product was used for developing another product. Conscious design by allê and Marton.

Allê Design manufactures all its pieces with methacrylate ® and developed special machines exclusively to meet Marton’s creation and expectations. The great result you can see here.

Jelly tables is the fusion of the creative vision of Baba Vacaro and the innovative alle design company techniques has resulted in the “Jelly” effect.

Baba Vacaro, was born in Sao Paulo and is graduated at FAAP university, a university known by its many famous artists and designers. Baba has had many of her works selected for awards and exhibitions in Brazil and abroad like Bienal Brasileira and the IF Design Awards in Germany. Baba has been frequent lecturer in events and seminars about the culture of design in the Brazilian Market and is also guest writer on various magazines specializing in design and decoration.

Jelly tables were born from the reuse of Methacrylate sheet waste in a rage of colors; new technology and technique fused this waste to turn into blocks and sheets in a wide variety of combinations to produce exquisite effects. This process developed by alle, currently in the process of being patented, aims to reduce Methacrylate waste production by 100%
